Up to £39,000, day shift only, no call-out rota – and you’ll be working in one of the cleanest, most safety-focused industrial sites in the region.

If you're tired of working on dirty sites, crawling through old ceiling panels, or spending weekends on callouts for peanuts – this role might be the upgrade you've been looking for.

Based in Darwen, this is a permanent, site-based Facilities Electrician position on a well-run manufacturing site where standards are high, tools are provided, and the maintenance team actually works with you – not against you.

Here’s why this one’s worth a closer look:

  • £39,000 salary + excellent benefits

  • No on-call rota

  • Day shift – Monday to Friday

  • Clean, well-maintained site

  • All tools, PPE and testing equipment provided

  • Strong focus on preventative maintenance, not just firefighting

  • Part of a multi-skilled team with genuine support from leadership

You’ll be working across the full site – fault-finding, carrying out PPMs, handling lighting, HVAC, building services and some installation work. They’ve invested heavily in new infrastructure, so you won’t be battling ancient equipment or constant breakdowns.

Is this you?

  • 18th Edition qualified

  • Hands-on experience in facilities or building services maintenance

  • Comfortable with reactive and planned work (electrical bias, but able to support across mechanical and general)

  • Able to read electrical drawings, isolate circuits, test/commission systems

  • Organised and safety-focused with good communication skills

  • Happy working with contractors and liaising with other departments

Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or regulated industries would be a bonus – but not essential. What's more important is your reliability, attitude, and ability to work safely and independently.

What next?

If you’ve got a CV ready, great – send it over.
If not, just drop a quick message or apply with what you have and tell me it is not up-to-date. We’ll talk you through the rest.
